To watch a 6-minute video that explains exactly what eBay is showing you on the screen (it is very misleading), click here. These 6 minutes might easily be the difference between you winning one of the 20 seats, or you staying home.
The video down below is longer. 25 minutes (broken up into smaller segments). It goes MUCH deeper into the best strategies for winning a seat. But it might be more than you really need to know.
Keep scrolling down the page to watch the more detailed video.
You might save yourself some time if you take 30 seconds to read what's written below the video before pressing the play button. It explains each section of the video. You might not have to watch all of it to get the information you need.

John Carlton
"The most ripped-off and respected copywriter alive..."
Gary attend a mini version of this workshop last month. Listen to what he had to say.

"John saved me so much time, I can't believe it!"
"You can learn how to do a launch... you can learn how to setup a web site... but if somebody does not at least read your headline... you got nothing."

We've been getting a lot of questions and comments via www.Carlton-Workshop.com about the Name Your Own Price / Dutch Auction system we're using to sell seats to John's 17 Points of Copywriting Workshop, 2-4 May 2008 in San Francisco, CA.
To try to address as many of these questions as possible at one sitting, I made what I'll be the first to admit is a pretty bad video. The content is good (so says me). It's the presentation that has a lot of room for improvement.
To get the video posted here ASAP, I've put it up in a small screen at a low resolution. It will load and play faster on most computers this way.
There's really not much to see anyway. Other than the space aliens giving you the finger.
You can watch the video from beginning to end, or you can click on the section labels on the left of the screen to watch only the topics that you think might help you secure a seat to John's workshop.
If you want to start at the beginning, click on the play button in the lower left corner.
The video will automatically advance to the next section. There might be a few seconds delay.
Here's what I cover in each section:
Introduction - You can probably skip this section. -- If I were you, I would. Unless you want to know more about me or what John did Saturday night.
eBay 101 - What you already know about eBay might be hurting you. -- This auction process is very simple. Yet, it seems to be counter intuitive for many folks. This section is a quick overview exactly how this auction will work. I focus on how this auction is probably different than others you've bid in.
Bid Amounts - What's it going to cost? Really. You can tell me. -- The best advice I can give you on what the winning bid will be.
The Future - What's going to happen between now and the end of the auction? -- I've been studying eBay auctions for a while now. Based on that, I'm reasonably confident I can give you some idea what's going to happen been now and Thursday, 10 April, at 2 PM Eastern (11 Pacific) when the auction ends. If you don't understand this, you're at a big disadvantage to the folks who do.
Strategy - How to maximize your chance of getting one of the 20 seats. -- Everybody on earth is going to be in one of 5 categories at 2:01 PM this Thursday. Watch this section to find out what those categories are, and what you should do to be in one of the winning categories. If you really want to attend the workshop -- not just think it it might be fun -- but really want to be there -- this is probably the most important section of the video.
What to do now - Like, in the next 3 minutes. -- To maximize your chances of attending the workshop, this is what you should do RIGHT NOW.
Bidder 20 -- Does Bidder 20 have to sit in the back of the room? No. But they do win a prize. ("Does Bidder 20 have to sit in the back of the room?" is by FAR the best question we've gotten so far. Thanks, Mark.)
Bidder 21 -- I think this section speaks for itself. All 8 seconds of it.
